CIT Employees Collect More Than 95 Tons of Food

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CIT Group Inc. (NYSE:CIT) cit.com, a leading provider of financing and advisory services to small businesses and middle market companies, today announced that as part of its 2013 global employee food drive initiative (cit.com/fooddrive) it collected more than 95 tons of food, which equates to approximately 158,330 meals. Employees from 12 offices located in four countries collected food items that were donated to various local non-profit organizations and food pantries.

Additionally, nearly 1,400 employees volunteered more than 7,700 hours while participating in 151 projects around the world in 2013. Projects included tutoring students, delivering food to homebound individuals, constructing homes, and beautifying parks.
